The Maintenance Manager oversees a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors in a manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. This role focuses on leading, training, and coaching the maintenance team in repairs, installations, and troubleshooting while organizing workloads and promoting best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and support maintenance technicians and supervisors in a manufacturing setting.
• Train and coach the maintenance team on equipment repairs, installations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Delegate daily and weekly tasks effectively to ensure optimal coverage and productivity across the team.
• Organize and maintain technicians’ weekly schedules to align with production demands and maintenance priorities.
• Implement, enforce, and teach safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Oversee electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance activities to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Use and promote maintenance management systems to track work orders, preventive maintenance, and equipment history.
• Monitor maintenance performance and identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
• Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and support production goals.
• Ensure compliance with facility standards and maintenance best practices.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience supervising maintenance technicians and supervisors in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate maintenance activities and priorities.
• Experience with maintenance supervision and maintenance management responsibilities.
• Ability to effectively delegate tasks and organize technicians’ weekly schedules.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to implement and teach safe work practices.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems for planning, tracking, and reporting maintenance work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Education related to maintenance or the manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Certifications related to maintenance or the manufacturing industry are considered an advantage.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Work Environment

This role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility, providing a comfortable and consistent working environment. The primary schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, offering regular daytime hours. The position operates within a structured maintenance setting that utilizes maintenance management systems and emphasizes safety, reliability, and collaboration.

This is a Permanent position based out of Independence, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $125000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Company offers full medical, dental, and vision insurance. Opportunities for annual pay review and 10% annual bonus.
