Accounting Assistant Join the Kocourek Automotive Team! Kocourek Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented and organizedAccounting Assistant to join our Accounting Department. This position provides direct support to the Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare and maintain accounting records related to the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash reimbursements, and other accounting functions. Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring all transactions are accurately posted and supporting schedules and account reconciliations completed and submitted for review. Support the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and management reports. Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow monitoring. Review contracts in transit and wholesale receivable schedules to ensure accuracy and timely collection. Compile and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management and dealership leadership. Maintain organized accounting records and documentation. Provide additional administrative and accounting support as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations required. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels of the organization. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred but not required. Schedule Full-time position Monday through Friday 40 hours per week Office hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Work Environment This position operates in a professional, non-smoking office environment and regularly uses standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, scanners, and filing systems.
