This full-time position embraces a fully remote work environment, utilizing advanced telehealth technology to connect counselors with clients across various settings. Counselors will engage in secure, video-based sessions, ensuring both the comfort and confidentiality of clients while alleviating barriers associated with in-person visits. Telehealth services are designed to improve access to mental health care, especially for individuals in rural or underserved areas.

The Mental Health Counselor will play a pivotal role in the mental wellness of our clients by performing the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient intakes to complete diagnostic and functional evaluations, enabling the development of personalized treatment plans in collaboration with primary care providers.

• Deliver brief, solution-focused interventions, strategically addressing patients' immediate mental health needs.
\n
• Actively monitor and follow up with patients to ensure they are progressing as expected, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary.

• Educate and empower clients with self-management skills, encouraging them to take an active role in their treatment and recovery processes.
\n
• Document patient progress meticulously in electronic health records, ensuring all information is current and reflective of treatment goals.
\n
• Provide consultations to clinic management and fellow team members regarding behavioral health services and program evaluations.
\n
• Collaborate with primary care providers to identify which patients can benefit from continuing in the primary care setting versus those who require specialized mental health interventions.

Our counselors serve a diverse patient population that includes individuals dealing with a range of emotional and psychological issues, from anxiety and depression to complex trauma and behavioral disorders. To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.

• A valid and current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.

• Strong understanding and ability to apply evidence-based practices in mental health assessment, treatment planning, and therapy methodologies.

• Competence in maintaining clinical records and completing requisite documentation adhering to ethical and professional standards.

• Ability to build rapport and establish cooperative relationships with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate clinical concepts effectively.

Although not mandatory, the following experience will be favorable:

• Experience with telehealth platforms and providing remote counseling services.

• Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish, enhancing communication with a broader client base.

• Comprehensive knowledge of community resources to support patient care coordination.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 - 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
