We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Culinary Operations Manager to oversee the management and optimization of our catering software for a large-scale catering company. This role involves leading a small team of 2–3 members to ensure that menus are accurately quantified using data collected from past events. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the catering database, including updating allergen information, refining menu item names, and adjusting quantification amounts for specific dishes. This is a salaried position that may require weekend hours during peak seasons. Minimum 50 hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 2-3 members, providing guidance and support in menu quantification and data management.
• Oversee the accurate quantification of catering menus by analyzing data from past events to ensure optimal food preparation and minimize waste.
• Maintain and update the catering software database, including but not limited to:
• Editing and verifying allergen information.
• Standardizing and refining menu item names.
• Adjusting quantification amounts for dishes based on historical data and feedback.
• Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to align with event requirements.
• Generate reports and insights from catering software to support operational decision-making.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across the catering software platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues in collaboration with IT support as needed.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices for catering quantification and database management.
• Support additional responsibilities and projects as required during high-volume periods.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in catering, food service management, or related fields.
• Familiarity with catering software or similar data management systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing small teams.
• Proficiency in data entry, analysis, and report generation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak seasons.
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work with a large team of sales operations coordinators and accommodate requests as needed.

Location: Mott Haven, Bronx, NY

Schedule: Full Time, On-Site

Base salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
