About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Location

Morgantown, WV

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a combined Stepdown and Medical-Surgical floor unit with 32 total beds (12 Stepdown, 20 Floor)
• Manage a patient population with common diagnoses including chest pain, COPD, altered mental status, pneumonia, UTI, abdominal pain, and hospice (GIP Hospice)
• Administer and monitor drips in the Stepdown setting; manage PCAs, heparin, and similar infusions on the floor
• Read and interpret telemetry strips in coordination with telemetry monitor technicians who provide continuous monitoring
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse aides to maintain safe staffing and patient care standards
• Float to other floor or stepdown units as needed based on census and staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS certification (must be unexpired)
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry/cardiac monitor strips
• COVID-19 vaccination required (full vaccination series); medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted with appropriate documentation for review and approval
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (travel assignment requirement)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Stepdown, PCU, or IMC setting
• Familiarity with titratable drip management in an intermediate care environment
• Experience working with a mixed acuity patient population including medical-surgical and hospice patients
