Project Overview: Mining and Metals: Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy-and the need for commodities-is critical to underpinning the energy transition. Job Summary: This role will be responsible for performing logistics responsibilities of moderate complexity in support of project requirements to ensure safe, timely and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements. This position will report to the Project Logistics Leader, as well as functionally reporting to Bechtel Global Logistics (BGL). Major Responsibilities: Ensuring timely entry of shipment milestone data into Bechtel's Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) and Oracle's Transportation Management System (OTM) to provide visibility of shipment status of consignments. Assisting the logistics leader when requested. Assisting in filing and resolving claims with logistics service providers (LSPs). Assisting in the preparation of logistics studies, including site visits of suppliers and manufacturers, as required. Integrating security requirements and measures into all logistics activities. Planning, developing, coordinating and reviewing Procurement work within a discipline on projects. Coordinating and interacting with the daily work of the members of the project team and the discipline groups. Accumulating and maintaining the data for the reporting of the group metrics. Conducting due diligence studies as requested. Providing on-the-job training to procurement specialists as required. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in careers related to the position and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Required Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Bechtel Logistics Procedures (Supply Chain School), BGL corporate agreements and OTM System. Knowledge of Bechtel procedures and instructions for compliance with government regulations affecting the movement of goods and technology. Bechtel standard office technology software (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, presentations) and Internet/Intranet browsing. Bechtel cargo insurance requirements. Industry packaging, marking and shipping requirements. Knowledge in procedures and processes of import and export. National and international commercial and delivery terms, Incoterms®.
