Staff Accountant We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Commercial or Multi-Family Accounting Team. Responsibilities Responsibilities include full charge accounting for several commercial or multi-family properties. Day to day duties include, but are not limited to the following: Accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and various other reports as required by ownership/management. G/L account analysis and review. Annual budget preparation. Variance analysis. Coding invoices for accounts payable and review of the A/P input. Ensuring compliance with the management contracts. Maintain building and review & interpret lease files. Completion of CAM & RET Reconciliations (Only CM). Completion of YE Tax Workpapers. Assist with the acquisition and disposition of assets. Ability to work in a team environment and independently. Ability to effectively communicate with property management and company management. Special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager, Controller and/or CFO. Qualifications Ideal candidate will be detail oriented and possess excellent analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills, have a strong work ethic and have the ability to meet deadlines, in addition to: Two or more years of real estate accounting experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience in Yardi or equivalent program is a plus. Good time management skills. Must have the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision to complete accounting duties and tasks successfully.
