Flora King is a growing, owner-operated Argentine-inspired steakhouse located two blocks from the historic Castro Theatre. We are entering an exciting next phase with our full liquor license launching soon and are strengthening our kitchen leadership.

This is a hands-on, working position on the line. We are seeking a strong cook or grounded junior sous who values execution, consistency, and professionalism.

• 3+ years professional kitchen experience

• Strong fundamentals: sauté, grill, meat cookery, timing, seasoning

• Organized and disciplined on your station

• Calm under pressure

• Reliable and consistent

• Comfortable working within an established culinary vision

Previous sous experience is welcome, provided you enjoy leading by example on the line.

• Owner-led kitchen with defined direction, yet appreciative of creative ideas.

• Opportunity to contribute thoughtfully, and take on agency as a leader based on engagement and capacity

• Growth potential as the restaurant expands, whith owners that appreciate healthy leadership skills.

We welcome ideas aligned with our Argentine steakhouse identity. Final menu and operational direction remain under Owner supervision.

• Some nights intimate and steady

• Some nights full and high-energy

We value steadiness over ego and consistency over theatrics.

$24–28 per hour DOE
Estimated $200/week in tips
