EPIC Application Analyst

Senior Epic Application Analyst And Developer ContractorHealthPartners is currently looking for a Senior Epic Application Analyst and Developer Contractor who will support the Epic Cadence, Referrals and MyChart scheduling system functionality. This position ensures that the appropriate analysis, requirements gathering and technical requirements are documented for applications changes. The person in this position is responsible for documenting, configuring, and implementing Epic Cadence and Epic Referral application changes and enhancements needed to meet our organization's strategic initiatives. This role also mentors junior developers and analysts and provides system development and implementation process guidance and serves as an application contact resource for IT's Business Partners and other IT groups.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, management information systems, or equivalent experience/training6+ years of IT analysis and technical design experience3+ years of project management experience3+ years' experience with configuring, testing, and implementing Epic Cadence and/or Epic Referral applications changesPosition Responsibilities:Assesses, designs, builds, and deploys software and new application functionality.Performs unit and integrated testing and directs and partners in system and end-user test planning and testing.Maintains testing environment and data requirements within the test environment.Analyzes functional and technical requirements for changes or enhancements and prepares system designs and specificationsDiagnoses system failures, corrects issues, and assess the issue to recommend actions to prevent re-occurrence of the problem.Defines technical specifications based on business requirements, consults with Business Partners regarding technical possibilities and limitations.Assists IS&T's Business Partners with clarifying and prioritizing service requests.Identifies the need for and recommends standard processes, procedures, and best practices.Provides training, professional support and mentoring to Application Developers and other Analysts.Supports 3rd party application software; interacts with vendors regarding problems, upgrade schedules, and software installations.Provides requested documentation and interviews with auditors and third-party requestors.
