The details of the position are only a summary, other duties may be assigned as necessary.Background Check and Drug Screen may be required.Talascend is currently seeking a Safety Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Warren, Michigan.OverviewThis entry-level safety professional role focuses on providing workplace safety technical and regulatory advice, mentorship, and support to maintain compliance with MIOSHA requirements and safety standards. The position involves analyzing safety data, assessing performance, and supporting safety cultural transformation at the site.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze workplace safety data, communicate trends, and identify continuous improvement opportunities Assess site safety performance and conformance to MIOSHA requirements Manage the site as a safety resource on worksite safety requirements Partner with site leadership and global safety teams to support safety cultural transformation Develop and educate site employees to promote safety awareness and best practices Collaborate with stakeholders including human resources, industrial hygiene, labor, environmental, ergonomics, and health services Support the implementation of safety processes under supervision Assist in resolving government safety violations or citations Perform additional tasks as assigned QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in safety or related field Previous experience or foundational knowledge in safety practices and regulations Critical analysis skills for identifying and addressing safety challenges Ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical safety scenarios Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education Preferred QualificationsExperience working in manufacturing or industrial environments Knowledge of MIOSHA regulations and safety management systems We thank all applicants for their interest.
