Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Salary: $19-22/hr

Job Duties
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process and ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors.

Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, including coding, data entry, and obtaining necessary approvals
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly check runs
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any invoice or payment issues
- Assist with annual audits by providing supporting documentation and answering inquiries

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation
- Familiarity with benefits administration processes
- Ability to accurately prepare and post journal entries
- Knowledge of tax regulations related to accounts payable
- Proficiency in using Sage accounting software
- Understanding of accounts receivable processes
- Experience in payroll management, preferably using Paychex
