The Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery of innovative applications and services that enhance customer experiences, reduce fraud, and improve operational efficiency. As part of EDD's modernization efforts, the Business Analyst will serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure enterprise solutions align with business needs, strategic objectives, and operational requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, quality assurance teams, and business partners to deliver high-quality, customer-focused technology solutions. Under the general direction of the EDDNext Application Delivery Manager, the incumbent will lead business analysis activities throughout the system development lifecycle. Responsibilities include eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements; facilitating stakeholder meetings and workshops; evaluating business processes; identifying opportunities for process improvement; supporting solution design; and ensuring requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications. The incumbent will also assist with change management, support user acceptance testing, and provide recommendations that promote continuous improvement and successful project delivery across enterprise initiatives.This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
