About the Position

Outpatient Internal Medicine locums coverage in Louisiana with a predictable weekday clinic schedule and no call. You will see established primary care patients, largely Medicare age, with solid MA or scribe and RN support.

Practice Setting

• Outpatient clinic setting
• Patient population is primarily Medicare, majority age 65 plus
• Typical primary care mix, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, mild cognitive impairment, CHF, history of coronary artery disease
• Support includes nurse practitioners plus MA or scribe support and clinic RNs

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM
• Minimum commitment of 3 to 4 months
• ASAC start, coverage needed due to vacancy
• No call

Requirements

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner
• Louisiana license required, will not wait for license
• DEA required
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required
