Bookkeeper

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to support a small, family-owned trucking and organic materials company. Reporting to the business owner, controller, or accountant, this role will manage day-to-day financial records using QuickBooks Online and other accounting systems, with specialized responsibilities related to trucking operations, organic materials sales, and fleet expenses. Responsibilities Record and maintain financial transactions. Maintain the general ledger. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable. Perform regular bank reconciliations. Process payroll and maintain payroll accounting records. Manage invoices and payment documentation. Track expenses, including fleet-related costs. Support bookkeeping for trucking operations and organic materials sales. Required Qualifications At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience. Work environment - small office, contractor yard setting, often by yourself, dealing with customers, vendors, employees. Experience with QuickBooks, including QuickBooks Online, or similar accounting software Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Experience performing bank reconciliations. Experience with payroll accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail. Effective time-management skills.
