Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' histories and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans aimed at healing from trauma and fostering long-term resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to provide effective treatment.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their trauma, cultivate coping skills, and encourage personal growth.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to create a seamless, integrated care experience for our patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients feel safe and validated.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma dynamics, coping strategies, and resources available for ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards of practice.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to professional development and best practices in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is focused primarily on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD and complex trauma. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, each with their own set of challenges and strengths. As a therapist, you will be instrumental in guiding them through their recovery journey, understanding the unique needs of each individual, and fostering a true sense of healing.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed interventions, and resilience-building practices is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal skills along with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications to maintain efficient documentation practices.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
