Position Description

The Eagles Essentials Food Pantry is looking for student workers for the Fall 26 - Spring 27 semesters. Accepts: Federal Work Study (FWS) ONLY

Position Responsibilities

• Assists with food pantry inventory, including donation intake, and outgoing food distribution
• Assists with record keeping of food donations
• Assists in coordinating relationships with Student Development including food intake and storage, appropriate record-keeping, and reporting.
• Assists with tracking volunteer hours, performance, and work performed
• Maintains confidentiality of staff, other student workers, and program participants
• Assists with donations and food deliveries.
• Assess perishable items: In the case of power outages or prolonged emergencies, take measures to preserve perishable pantry items such as refrigerated or frozen foods.

• Affidavit;
• FBI Criminal Record Check;
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance;
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check.

In accordance with state laws, Act 73 of 2007, Act 153 of 2014, Act 168 (relating to the Child Protective Services Law), school employees of Eastern University who will have "direct contact with children" must complete the background check process prior to employment. Results must be submitted within ten days of receipt.
