Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students in special education classrooms. Two full-time positions are available, serving grades K-2 in a vibrant school environment. You’ll work onsite, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:30AM and 4:00PM. This role begins as soon as possible and extends through June 10, 2027, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ growth and development.

You’ll collaborate with school staff and families, creating engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district standards, and utilizing formative assessments and differentiation to support each student’s developmental journey.

Key Qualifications:

• Active certification or licensure suited for special education caseloads
• Bachelor’s degree required for eligibility for emergency teaching permit
• Prior special education experience within a school setting is a must
• Mastery of subject matter and resource materials for K-2 special education
• Proven ability to provide classroom structure and manage student behavior effectively
• Comfort and confidence working in urban educational settings
• Possession of reliable transportation
• Ability to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
• Strong professional communication and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans to support varying abilities
• Partner with other educators and caregivers for holistic student support
• Utilize assessment data to inform instructional decisions
