Key Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid and active PA teaching certification or licensure suitable for the role
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement for emergency teaching permit)
• Demonstrated classroom and behavioral management expertise
• Prior experience within a school setting, preferably in diverse or urban communities
• Mastery of special education content and effective instructional strategies
• Ability to create tailored lesson plans aligned with state and district standards, using formative assessment and instructional differentiation
• Knowledge of up-to-date educational resources and teaching materials
• Must have reliable transportation for prompt onsite attendance
• Willingness and capacity to work 8:30AM-4PM, Monday through Friday, with a total commitment of 35 hours per week
• Completion of all required PA clearances prior to start
• Comfortable engaging with district staff, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-impact instruction and personalized support based on student needs
• Complete progress reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families to maximize student growth
• Uphold classroom structure by implementing effective management techniques
• Participate in IEP development, meetings, and ongoing professional development
