Desired Qualifications:

• Valid state certification or licensure in Special Education; active and in good standing for full caseload
• Bachelor’s degree required (must have to obtain emergency teaching permit, if applicable)
• Proven experience working in a school setting, ideally in an urban district
• Extensive classroom and behavioral management proficiency
• Ability to create differentiated lesson plans aligned with district and state standards
• Comfortable using formative assessments to guide instruction
• Reliable transportation required
• Prepared to work onsite, full-time, without schedule accommodations
• Completion of all Pennsylvania clearances prior to start

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) driven by student needs and assessment data
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment
• Deliver lessons using a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learners
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student growth
• Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Uphold all district, state, and federal special education regulations
