Client: Advertising Technology Organization Role: Accounting Documentation Specialist (Temporary) Pay Rate: $50-$55/hr Duration: 2 Months with the opportunity to extend based on performance! Location: Union Square, Manhattan - *Hybrid, 3 days a week onsite* Key Responsibilities Process Documentation: Interview subject matter experts across finance (AP, AR, Payroll, General Ledger, Treasury) to author comprehensive, step-by-step Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), desktop procedures, and policy manuals. Workflow Mapping: Design end-to-end process maps, flowcharts, and swimlane diagrams using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart to visualize current-state and future-state operations. Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks, redundancies, and control gaps in existing accounting processes, recommending actionable solutions and automation opportunities. Internal Controls & Audit Compliance: Ensure all documented processes comply with internal control frameworks (e.g., SOX) and proper segregation of duties. Partner with internal and external auditors to provide clear process evidence. Change Management & Training: Develop user guides, quick-reference sheets, and training materials to support team onboarding and the adoption of new accounting systems or updated procedures. Systems & Tools Alignment: Collaborate with Financial Systems teams to document system workflows, ERP system configurations, and integration handoffs.
