Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMFT, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual, couples, and family therapy services tailored to outpatient clients' needs.

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ relational dynamics and mental health challenges, followed by the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Applying family systems theory to address complex relationship dynamics, enhancing communication and resolving conflicts in families.

• Offering crisis intervention and immediate support to clients in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Maintaining meticulous documentation, including client records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards to uphold confidentiality.

• Educating clients on effective communication and conflict resolution strategies to facilitate personal and relational well-being.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to provide a holistic and integrated approach to client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse clientele, encompassing adults and the child/adolescent population. Your efforts will center on addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, family conflicts, and other mental health concerns. Your therapeutic expertise will directly contribute to enhancing the emotional well-being of clients as they navigate their challenges.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, you must possess:

• A current license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.

• A master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related mental health field.

• At least three years of relevant experience, particularly in outpatient therapy settings.

• A demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and maintaining client confidentiality.

• The ability to work autonomously while also being a collaborative team player.

While only three years of experience is required, candidates with a strong background in family systems therapy, crisis intervention, and outpatient services will be prioritized.
