Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office in Jacksonville, where you will engage directly with patients of various backgrounds and orthopedic conditions. The role requires full-time availability, typically encompassing 40 hours per week, with variable weekend shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Strong Bodies Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess patients' functional capabilities and disabilities, and formulating personalized treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Providing ongoing consultation to interdisciplinary healthcare providers, ensuring continuity of care throughout the patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Implementing and overseeing treatment interventions, regularly re-evaluating progress and modifying plans as necessary to meet clinical standards.
• Maintaining compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards in all documentation and service delivery, and ensuring accurate billing for services.
• Engaging in patient and family education regarding treatment plans, progress, and discharge planning to empower patients in their recovery.
• Collaborating with colleagues, physicians, and community resources to enhance patient outcomes and facilitate community outreach efforts.
• Participating in leadership roles within the organization, promoting quality improvement initiatives and staff development through teaching and mentoring.
• Keeping abreast of advancements in physical therapy practice and integrating ongoing professional development into your routine.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, focusing primarily on orthopedic assessments and rehabilitation. Our patients include individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, workplace accidents, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy, in good standing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Proficient in computer skills, including documentation systems and word processing.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care will be prioritized.
