Bring your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to an ESY (Extended School Year) program focused on PreK students. This contract role, based near Cuyahoga Falls, offers a meaningful way to make a difference while enjoying a balanced summer schedule.

Key Details:

• Program runs from July 6 to August 6
• Monday through Thursday schedule—enjoy long weekends with every Friday off
• Daily hours: 8:30am to 1:15pm
• Approximately 19 hours per week
• Work with PreK students in a collaborative, supportive environment
• Competitive pay ranging from $34 to $40 per hour

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as an Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with early childhood or preschool-aged children preferred
• Understanding of IEP implementation and supporting diverse learning needs
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with families and team members
• Ability to quickly build rapport and foster positive classroom relationships
• Energy, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching young children

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct special education instruction in a small group setting
• Collaborate with general education staff and therapists to support each child’s goals
• Track and document student progress related to IEP objectives
• Adapt lessons and classroom activities to meet individual needs
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Communicate proactively with families about student development
