Billing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of our finance team. This role is ideal for a professional with hands‑on experience in customer billing, invoice processing, account reconciliation, and resolving billing inquiries. The Billing Specialist will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, maintaining customer account records, and supporting overall revenue cycle operations. Based on a similar internal role description, billing accuracy, invoice management, and customer communication are core responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and billing schedules Process billing adjustments, credits, and corrections as needed Review billing data for accuracy and completeness prior to invoice submission Investigate and resolve customer billing inquiries and discrepancies Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate billing information and timely invoice processing Maintain customer account records and billing documentation within the accounting system Assist with account reconciliations and support month‑end close activities Monitor outstanding invoices and coordinate with customers regarding payment status when necessary Prepare billing reports and provide support for audit requests or management inquiries Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) 1-3+ years of billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience Experience managing high-volume billing activities and customer account inquiries Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and basic formulas Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment What We Offer Contract-to-hire opportunity with competitive compensation between $28-$30/hour, dependent on experience Full benefits after the initial probationary period Collaborative and professional work environment Opportunities for growth and expanded responsibilities within accounting and finance Exposure to billing operations, customer account management, and broader financial processes Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
