Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Neuro ICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights, flexible, rotating Employment Type: Travel ```htmlJob Opportunity – Neuro ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio Start Date: October 5, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 36 hours per week, day/night rotation, every other weekend (weekend nights defined as Friday and Saturday for night shift) Highlights: Neuro ICU position with diverse case mix including stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, neuromuscular diseases, and post-operative neurosurgery patients 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts providing optimal care delivery Epic EMR system utilized for charting and documentation Four-week rotation schedule based on unit needs Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and lift teams Exposure to advanced neuromonitoring including ICP monitoring, EVD management, and bedside procedures Requirements: Current RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required Previous travel experience required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only) Required skills: IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, intracranial pressure monitoring Epic EMR experience required Trauma Level I experience preferred Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed Two professional references required (one must be from manager/director or formal leadership) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Clinical Experience Required: Arterial line management and central line care Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients ICP monitoring and external ventricular drain (EVD) management CVA/acute stroke management and post-craniotomy care Continuous IV sedation and titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips Blood product administration and emergency medications BiPAP/CPAP and high flow nasal cannula management Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a progressive Neuro ICU environment with access to cutting-edge technology and comprehensive patient care protocols.
