IT Operations Analyst - Third Shift

Analyst, IT Operations Location: Austin, TX. Reporting to a Senior IT Analyst. This is an on‑site role on 3rd Shift (11:00 PM–7:15 AM Sunday‑Thursday) with a shift differential. Responsibilities Day‑to‑day operational hold up and service delivery of the Hybrid Cloud IT infrastructure by monitoring and acknowledging incidents through the incident tracking system. Proactively monitor systems for availability, capacity, and performance. Participate in patch management, IT business continuity, and disaster recovery planning and testing. Write scripts and programs to automate manual IT operations where applicable. Prepare standard operating procedures for the day‑to‑day maintenance of applications and underlying systems. Ensure enterprise systems are appropriately sized to meet dynamic business requirements. Maintain proper backup and retention policies to minimize data loss in case of failures. Establish clear communication channels and feedback mechanisms with customers, peers, and cross‑functional teams. Propose system enhancements (software and hardware updates) to improve performance and reliability. Ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Define help and monitoring processes, set SLAs, and conduct system tests to ensure business applications are performing, scalable, usable, and available. Research, design, code, and test new systems and enhancements in line with IT project deliverables. Install, configure, administer, and maintain business application systems and associated hardware per technical specifications. Collaborate with various teams to gather requirements, prepare detailed program specifications, and coordinate system implementation. Communicate with system users and vendors to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system problems quickly and satisfactorily. Track change management and publish performance metrics. Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data across Hybrid Cloud environments in accordance with business needs and industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training. Ideally requires a minimum of 1–2 years of related experience. General understanding of system architecture concepts and methodologies. Basics of troubleshooting, log analysis, and data analytics. Collaboration skills and passion for technical challenges and operations support. Ability to learn and adopt new tools rapidly, solve problems using best‑in‑class tools, and drive teamwork for success.
