Clemens Warren Pinkerton Siems is a boutique family law firm located in downtown San Diego. We are looking to bring on an additional paralegal to join our team. We have a great workplace environment with a beautiful office where we all truly enjoy working with one another. We are looking for a paralegal with experience in Family Law that is ready to hit the ground running. The attorneys and partners in our office each handle a considerable amount of litigation and rely on their support staff. We work collaboratively and closely with one another. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail oriented, hard-working individual who works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

\n

Your responsibilities will include:

\n

\n
• Assist with drafting pleadings
\n
• Drafting preliminary and final disclosures
\n
• Litigation support, including the creation of hearing binder and trial binders
\n
• Trial Preparation: Organizing and preparing exhibits, witnesses
\n
• Assist with discovery drafting, discovery responses, subpoenas
\n
• Manage calendaring of deadlines and important dates
\n
• Direct communication with clients
\n
• Tracking and billing time
\n
• Mediation Support: Preparing briefs, working with clients and lawyers
\n
• This is an in-person position and we are not currently offering remote positions
\n

Qualifications

\n

The basic qualifications include:

\n

\n
• Paralegal Certificate (required - applicants without cannot be considered)
\n
• High school diploma or equivalency (associates or bachelors a plus)
\n
• 3+ years of Family Law experience
\n
• Excellent skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
\n
• Experience with Judicial Council Forms
\n
• Experience with Clio Billing software a plus
\n
• Experience with family law software programs a plus (Xspouse)
\n
• Experience with Westlaw a plus
\n
• Attention to detail
\n
• Great communication skills and writing skills
\n
• Ability to maintain contemporaneous billing and meet billable hour goals
\n

Compensation and Benefits

• $70,000 - $100,000 annually depending on experience and billable hour goal
\n
