Immediate opportunity available for a Security Electronic Technician

We are seeking an experienced Security Electronics Technician to support a federal customer in Washington, DC. The qualified candidate will provide technical support, troubleshooting, installation and maintenance for security, video management and IT systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in physical security systems.

Execute troubleshooting procedures for security and video management systems
Identify and document system malfunctions, implement corrections, and advise on system abnormalities that impact future design considerations.
Configure and maintain access control systems
Support hardware/software and other equipment configuration and operations.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
Assist with system design, maintenance work, customer training, and technical support
Perform comprehensive TIA/EIA-568 compliant cable testing, documentation, and termination for fiber, Cat-6, Cat-5, RG-6, RG-59, and RS-485
Develop maintenance standards and procedures for use by others.
Analyze repair practices and develop procedural instructions for use by others on methods and steps to repair equipment.
Analyze systems operations and test results to ensure proper systems operation and determine maintenance requirements beyond standard solutions.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent experience (2 years)
Public Trust or ability to obtain one
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in electronics. video management, installation and maintenance activities.
Comprehensive understanding of electronic equipment design, development, evaluation, testing, installation, and maintenance
Knowledge of the capabilities, limitations, operations, design characteristics, and functional use of various types and models of electronic equipment and systems
Milestone experience preferred
