Employment Law Attorney

Responsibilities Advise HR and management on a broad range of employment law matters including hiring, performance management, leaves of absence, accommodations, separations, and reductions in force. Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, offer letters, separation and severance agreements, NDAs, and independent contractor agreements. Develop, update, and implement employment policies, handbooks, and compliance and training programs to ensure legal compliance and best practices. Manage and oversee employment‑related litigation, arbitration, and agency charges (EEOC, NLRB, state agencies), including coordination with outside counsel. Lead internal investigations into employee complaints, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and workplace misconduct. Monitor and advise on federal, state, and local employment law developments and assess impact on company practices across multiple jurisdictions. Partner with People Operations on compensation, benefits, and equity plan matters, ensuring compliance with applicable wage and hour laws. Support M&A due diligence and integration activities from an employment law perspective. Provide training and guidance to HR business partners and managers on employment law topics and risk mitigation strategies. Contribute to the broader Legal team on cross‑functional projects and company‑wide initiatives. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing. 8+ years of employment law experience, with significant in‑house counsel experience or a combination of law firm and in‑house roles. Deep expertise in federal and state employment laws (Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, and state equivalents). Demonstrated experience managing employment litigation and agency proceedings. Experience conducting and overseeing workplace investigations. Strong drafting and negotiation skills across a variety of employment‑related agreements. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and provide clear, actionable guidance in a dynamic environment.
