About the Role We are looking for a Director of Sales for the Western US to join our team. The right candidate will have a strong knowledge of sales, customer/account management and broker management in the consumer goods industry. This is a development role that reports to the Vice President of Sales. The individual in this role will lead driving sales for our Western customers and to lead Albertsons, Target, Hyvee, and other regional players. What You Will Be Doing Lead and drive sales results in assigned territory through broker partners and retail execution Manage broker relationships, setting clear priorities, targets, and accountability Secure distribution gains and new item authorizations with key retail accounts Plan and execute promotional calendars and manage trade spending effectively Monitor sales performance, distribution, and velocity using syndicated data Ensure strong in-store execution including pricing, merchandising, and shelf presence Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and finance to deliver sales objectives Role Details Role will be based in New York City Full-time, in-office role in the Financial District, New York Must be authorized to work in the United States Compensation $120,000–$160,000, based on experience About You Do you have a passion for consumer goods? The requirements of the role are Bachelor’s / Master’s degree a plus. At least 5+ years of sales management experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry. Proven track record developing breakthrough, leadership sales results that positions brands for sustained growth. Experience in leading and managing a sales broker network Experience with major retailers and distributors required to include key account experience. Experience with syndicated data including IRI, Spins, Neilson. Solid sales background, exceptional analytical skills, and adept at identifying trends. High level of professionalism, ability to tell a story with data and communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a positive and influential way. Agility in taking initiative to solve issues, partner and build business processes that simplify and build scale. Strong Excel skills - must be comfortable analyzing, combining and manipulating large data sets. Exceptional communication skills; ability to interact with and present forecasts and results to all levels of management with deep attention to detail and cross-functional partnership. Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced, rapid growth start-up environment. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with high focus on teamwork with a growth mindset.
