Sales Strategy Analytics Lead

The Sales Strategy and Operations team partners directly with the sales leadership team as a trusted advisor, focused on strategic planning, sales optimization and business operational support. You will collaborate with many cross‑functional teams such as finance, employee success, marketing, operations, and others. This is a high‑impact role, with constantly evolving priorities and demands. You will think strategically, arrive at a focused execution plan, and lead the plan to fruition. Example of projects can range from the very strategic to the very operational and focus on some of the many areas, such as Go‑To‑Market planning, Salesforce product playbook, tooling, data quality, business planning, market segmentation, sales pipeline, and business performance review. Successful candidates will be able to use data to drive insights, provide strategic recommendations, build scalable assets, and guide the charge on execution and organisational change. You will have the opportunity to combine intuition for business, innovative inquiry, insights from sales leaders, and curiosity to accomplish meaningful work to uncover trends and identify insights that deliver impact across the organisation. Sample projects and results range from evaluating worldwide market opportunities, building a scalable reporting infrastructure, supporting the creation of the product growth strategy, market segmentation, sales pipeline and key performance metric reviews. What You’ll Do Act as the go‑to expert on data and analytics, providing strategic recommendations and insights through compelling, data‑driven storytelling to influence key stakeholders Design and build executive‑level dashboards and self‑serve reporting tools to track KPIs across Nextgen products Own the end‑to‑end development of curated datasets and scalable reporting pipelines in Snowflake and other internal tools (Tableau Prep, Airflow) Enable and automate operational rhythms such as QBRs, APMs, G4G, and monthly business reviews by delivering high‑quality insights and visuals Collaborate across functions – including finance, sales programmes, operations, and product to align on goals and inform key decisions Partner with teams to standardise definitions, metrics, and reporting frameworks for consistency across the org Tools & Skills You’ll Use Advanced SQL (Snowflake), dashboarding in Tableau, and data modelling fundamentals In‑depth knowledge of sales‑related datasets / metrics e.g. acv, op, pipegen, account, aov, commit, g4g, carving, etc. Experience in managing datasets, building reporting layers, and delivering BI solutions that scale Ability to translate business questions into structured analysis, and distil complex results into actionable insights What We’re Looking For 3‑5 years of experience in data analytics / business intelligence Strong business acumen with a passion for data and analytics Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without authority Detail‑oriented with the ability to zoom out and think strategically A "get‑it‑done" attitude with the curiosity to explore and improve Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to executives Salesforce is an equal opportunity employer and maintains a policy of non‑discrimination with all employees and applicants for employment. The typical base salary range for this position is $123,100 – $186,300 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $147,400 – $202,600 annually.
