Carilion Clinic and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join the existing team at Carilion Children’s Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.

Responsibilities include providing daytime in‑house coverage for the 24‑bed pediatric unit, overnight call from home on a 1 in 4 basis, and teaching and supervising medical students and residents. The team provides 24/7 support, with upper‑level residents covering the unit and ER consultations.

• Daytime in‑house coverage for the inpatient pediatric unit.
• Overnight call from home on a 1 in 4 basis.
• Teaching and supervising medical students and residents.
• Providing care for over 1,500 patients annually and caring for critically ill infants and children in the 8‑bed PICU.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Pediatrics.
• Meeting MOC requirements with the American Board of Pediatrics.
• Academic appointment at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
