Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Lehigh Acres. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, gathering relevant medical histories and performing specific assessments to develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings to patients and their families, integrating their insights into setting achievable therapy goals and objectives.
• Implement individualized treatment protocols that align with best practices, adapting them based on ongoing assessments of the patient's condition and response to therapy.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care when necessary, ensuring patient safety and high quality service delivery.
• Document all aspects of patient care meticulously, including initial evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge plans, to maintain compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
• Manage time effectively to meet productivity expectations, ensuring appointments and meetings are kept on schedule.
• Engage in departmental initiatives and assist in the development of strategies to improve clinic operations and patient accessibility.
• Pursue continuing education to enhance professional skills and knowledge, while also serving as a mentor and clinical instructor for aspiring physical therapy students.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience, demonstrating flexibility and an eagerness to address barriers to access.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will predominantly work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our focus on personalized care involves understanding the unique circumstances of each patient to guide their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid and active DPT license in the state of Florida.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and families.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, although newly graduated candidates with a strong academic background are also welcome to apply.
• Experience in a rehabilitation or home healthcare facility is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
