Work Environment

The role of Orthopedic Physical Therapist is based in our outpatient office located in vibrant Lehigh Acres, Florida—a community known for its rich natural beauty and dedication to wellness. You will work in a supportive atmosphere where collaboration with fellow therapists, administrative staff, and other healthcare professionals is paramount. The standard schedule for this role is Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include a wide range of tasks designed to facilitate optimal patient recovery and wellness. These tasks encompass:

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, taking into account medical history and current condition, to formulate effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols and adjusting them as necessary based on patient progress and changing rehabilitation needs.
• Recognizing clinical changes in patients' conditions and documenting necessary modifications to their plans of care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to treatment.
• Engaging with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including consultations with physicians and other specialists, to enhance the continuity of care.
• Thoroughly documenting all aspects of patient care, including evaluations, plans of care, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
• Developing detailed discharge plans that include recommendations for ongoing care, community resources, and strategies to maintain progress post-therapy.
• Participating in facility meetings and contributing to discussions on improving patient care practices and organizational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with a diverse range of patients dealing with various orthopedic challenges. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries such as joint replacements, sports-related injuries, or those managing chronic conditions such as arthritis. Your role is vital in helping patients regain independence, enhance mobility, and reduce pain, with an emphasis on personalized therapy designed to address each individual's specific goals.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and possess a current state license to practice physical therapy. Additionally, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required. We seek individuals who are passionate about helping others, possess strong clinical reasoning skills, and are adept at building rapport with patients.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy is required, we value candidates who have hands-on experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting. Compensation and Benefits
