As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrolling Specialist in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant and visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe foot and vehicle traffic, and document security-related incidents, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Support daily property operations by assisting tenants, visitors, and staff with directions, information, and security-related concerns while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
