The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and train junior machinists on equipment operation and safety protocols.
- Program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machinery for complex part production.
- Perform precision machining operations to meet strict quality and tolerance specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, optimizing processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to ensure continuous operation.
- Interpret engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to determine optimal machining strategies.
- Lead the implementation of new machining technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Recommended Qualifications
- Journeyman Machinist certification or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience operating and programming CNC machinery (lathes, mills, etc.)
- Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train a team of machinists
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machining processes and equipment
- Experience with CAD/CAM software for program generation and optimization
