Licensure: Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a speech-language pathologist or CFY in the state of Florida Professional Membership: Active membership in state and national American Speech and Hearing Associations is a plus Interpersonal Skills: Strong administrative and public relations skills to effectively engage with patients and staff Therapeutic Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of speech therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment Safety Awareness: Knowledge of potential hazards during treatment and the necessary precautions to ensure patient safety Collaborative Spirit: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and medical staff Communication Skills: Capable of understanding and interpreting physicians’ directions to recommend appropriate treatment programs Emotional Stability: Demonstrated ability to manage the demands of patient care and team dynamics Confidentiality: Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of patient and employee information Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement, clinical experience in dysphagia assessment and treatment, and familiarity with Net Health Ready to Make a Difference?
