Description – What Your Day Will Look Like

• Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Assist with specimen collection and ensure samples are correctly prepared for testing as necessary.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new team members or students, and help maintain lab quality standards.
• Uphold a clean and safe workspace while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a relevant allied health degree combined with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Maintain current certification throughout your tenure.
