Location: 2671 Main St, Santa Monica, CA 90405 Schedule: Hospital Hours - Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Salary: $29-$31/hour; compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician who is a believer in the possibilities of high‑quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know‑how to make them happen. Responsibilities Venipuncture Catheter placement Radiology Anesthesia monitoring Physical examinations and patient assessment Surgical preparation and assisting Dentistry Laboratory work Pharmacy Patient recovery Compassionate care for hospitalized patients Qualifications Must have documented previous Animal Hospital experience Hold a current California RVT license Must have surgery and dentistry experience Flexibility in hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays Customer service skills, including Phone skills Working knowledge of computers Excellent communication skills Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments Benefits VCA Animal Hospitals offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays, sick days, and health and well‑being programs that provide resources and training.
