Payroll Analyst

We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join a high-volume payroll team supporting a large workforce within the entertainment industry in New York, New York. This contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can manage payroll processes for a diverse employee population that includes hourly, salaried, union, and non-union staff. The role is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to contribute to payroll operations for both corporate and venue-based employees while partnering closely with HR and internal stakeholders.Responsibilities:• Process end-to-end payroll for a large employee population across multiple business groups, ensuring timely and accurate pay distribution.• Review and validate payroll data for hourly and salaried employees, including union and non-union worker classifications.• Audit timekeeping records, earnings codes, deductions, and other payroll inputs prior to each payroll cycle.• Support biweekly payroll activities by resolving discrepancies, researching issues, and coordinating corrections as needed.• Maintain compliance with multi-state payroll requirements and applicable wage and hour regulations.• Partner with HR, payroll team members, and internal departments to address employee payroll questions and ensure data accuracy.• Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and record maintenance to support internal controls and operational accuracy.• Contribute to payroll-related projects, process improvements, and system-related tasks as assigned by leadership.
