Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment, with opportunities to float to step-down units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips with precision.
• Monitor and interpret EKG strips to assess patient cardiac status.
• Perform all wound care procedures effectively.
• Demonstrate strong IV skills and confidence in patient interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Follow facility protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid nursing license issued by the state of the facility.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant clinical experience.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Obtain and maintain NIH Stroke Certification before start.
• Have experience working with cardiac monitors and reading EKGs.
• Travel experience is preferred.
