Marketing Manager

Position Summary

The Marketing Manager is responsible for directing strategic marketing and pursuit activities that support organizational growth. This role leads proposal development, collaborates closely with business development and technical teams, manages marketing systems and resources, and promotes brand visibility through both internal and external initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the full lifecycle of proposals and competitive pursuits, including opportunity evaluation, pursuit planning, team coordination, content development, and interview preparation.
• Facilitate post-pursuit evaluations for both successful and unsuccessful opportunities, capturing lessons learned and recommending improvements for future efforts.
• Partner with business development professionals and market leaders to identify strategic teaming relationships and growth opportunities.
• Coach and mentor technical staff on effective marketing practices, proposal development techniques, and presentation delivery skills.
• Maintain and improve marketing infrastructure, including proposal libraries, project information databases, opportunity tracking systems, and Deltek CRM resources.
• Manage brand communications and marketing collateral to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment across all channels, including social media and promotional materials.
• Represent the organization within professional associations, industry groups, and community organizations to enhance visibility and strengthen relationships.
• Plan and coordinate internal events, employee engagement programs, company meetings, and other special initiatives.
• Support long-term marketing and business development strategies through market research, performance tracking, and continuous process improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Approximately eight (8) years of progressively responsible marketing, proposal, or business development experience, preferably within the A/E/C industry.
• Strong understanding of architecture, engineering, and construction industry terminology and practices.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe InDesign and other marketing-related software applications.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) credential or active pursuit of certification.
• Experience managing proposal teams and coordinating complex pursuit efforts.
• Knowledge of CRM and opportunity management platforms, including Deltek.
