Step into a pivotal role supporting students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral success for the 2026-2027 school year! This contract opportunity seeks dedicated school psychologists to provide services across one elementary (K-5) and one middle school (6-8), with a manageable and impactful caseload: approximately 25-35 elementary students and 20-30 middle school students. Your expertise will shape the learning environment and help students thrive throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Minnesota School Psychologist license required
- Prior experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong background in counseling, behavioral interventions, and psychoeducational assessments
- Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, parents, and administrators
- Proficient in crisis intervention strategies and student safety planning
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students in K-8th grades
- Develop, update, and support the implementation of IEPs
- Deliver direct counseling services and behavioral interventions
- Collaborate closely with staff, teachers, and families to monitor progress and adjust strategies
- Provide expertise during crisis intervention and student safety planning processes
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines
This full-time position is based in a single building, working 37.5 hours per week, allowing for consistency with both students and staff. The assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027—a stable contract for the entire academic year.
