Make a meaningful impact in elementary education as a dedicated paraprofessional supporting young learners in a classroom environment. This contract position focuses on providing essential assistance either in a 1:1 setting or as a classroom aide, helping to nurture academic and social growth for students near West Warwick, RI.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Paraprofessional License or Teaching Assistant Certification is required
• Experience in elementary school settings preferred
• Ability to adapt support methods to individual student or group needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers and school staff
• Patient, compassionate, and committed to helping all students reach their potential

Key Responsibilities:

• Support elementary students, either 1:1 or within a classroom, under the direction of the lead teacher
• Assist with individualized instruction, behavior management, and academic activities
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement
• Provide social-emotional support and help reinforce classroom routines
• Assist with the preparation of instructional materials, organization of classroom resources, and implementation of learning strategies
• Participate in team meetings and communicate with staff regarding student progress and needs
