The Seacoast Community Diversion Program(SCDP) Case Manager will implement direct-service programming based on Restorative Juvenile Justice principles as an alternative to New Hampshire Juvenile Court. Utilizing a strengths-based model, the SCDP Case Manager helps youth by creating and connecting them with tools, resources, new opportunities, pro-social relationships, and support. These positive connections will help to develop accountability; real-life; promote resilient and healthy behaviors, and reduce the probability of future offenses.

This is a referral-based and voluntary program that requires the youth and their family to participate in the process in order to be successful. The Seacoast Community Diversion Program is accredited by the New Hampshire Juvenile Justice Network.

Case Manager Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and attend 'Screening Intake Meetings' for referred youth
• Work with the SCDP Coordinator and contracted SCDP Community Partners to determine the youth's 12-week diversion contract requirements
• Coordinate and meet weekly 1:1 with enrolled youth and provide support toward achieving successful completion of the diversion program
• Work directly with or provide frequent case updates to the youth's and family's growth
• Act as a liason with collateral agencies and programs
• Identify and utilize community resources that support the youth's and family's growth
• Act as an advocate for families and help parents to build advocacy skills for themselves and their children
• Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Maintain professional codes of conduct and ethics
• Attend weekly Team Meetings and Supervision Meetings with the SCDP Coordinator
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the SCDP Coordinator

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or related field preferred
• Experience in Juvenile Justice / Criminal Justice
• Ability to be self-directed, motivated, and independent problem solver
• Ability to work successfully in a team oriented environment
• Ability to appropriately and effectively utilize supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with exceptional attention to detail
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to each client's success
• Computer Literate including Microsoft Office and Google with the ability to learn new software applications

Salary: $22 - $24 per hour based on experience
