Vice President of Sales

Miss Elaine, Inc., a heritage women's sleepwear company celebrating over 100 years in business, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Sales & Marketing to lead revenue growth, brand development, and channel expansion across wholesale and direct-to-consumer businesses. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing is a member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for developing and executing integrated sales and marketing strategies that strengthen Miss Elaine's market position, deepen customer relationships, and drive profitable growth. This leader will oversee national sales efforts with department stores, specialty retailers, and eCommerce partners while expanding consumer engagement through digital marketing, brand storytelling, and direct-to-consumer initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong wholesale apparel experience with modern omnichannel marketing expertise and a passion for women's fashion and lifestyle brands. Develop and execute annual and long-range sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and market share objectives. Lead and mentor the sales organization and customer service team. Maintain and grow strategic partnerships with department store, specialty retail, catalog, and online customers. Identify opportunities to expand distribution channels and penetrate new markets. Negotiate major customer agreements, pricing strategies, promotional programs, and seasonal assortments. Analyze sales performance, inventory trends, and customer profitability to optimize business decisions. Collaborate closely with merchandising, design, sourcing, and operations teams to align product offerings with customer demand. Marketing & Brand Strategy Develop and implement comprehensive brand marketing strategies that reinforce Miss Elaine's heritage while attracting new generations of consumers. Oversee digital marketing initiatives including: Paid social advertising Search marketing Affiliate partnerships Influencer collaborations Content creation Direct brand positioning, public relations efforts, and seasonal campaign development. Lead management of company websites, online merchandising, and customer acquisition programs. Analyze consumer insights, competitive trends, and marketplace opportunities to guide strategic initiatives. Establish key performance indicators and reporting tools to measure marketing effectiveness and return on investment. Partner with internal and external teams to optimize the direct-to-consumer shopping experience. Drive online sales growth through improved conversion, customer retention, and personalization strategies. Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and digital tools that enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency. Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to overall company strategy and long-term planning. Prepare sales forecasts, annual budgets, and business reviews for ownership and senior leadership. Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture that supports innovation and accountability. Represent Miss Elaine at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Fashion Merchandising, or related field. 10+ years of progressive sales and marketing leadership experience within apparel, fashion, consumer products, or related industries. Demonstrated success managing wholesale relationships with department stores and specialty retailers. Experience growing direct-to-consumer and eCommerce businesses. Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, customer acquisition strategies, and analytics platforms. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills. Ability to travel as needed to customers, trade shows, and industry events. Preferred Experience within sleepwear, intimate apparel, women's apparel, or lifestyle brands. Knowledge of wholesale retail planning systems and major department store buying processes. Familiarity with platforms such as Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and digital advertising tools. MBA or advanced business degree.
