Summary In Southern Ca Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager. This role is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in managing all administrative and technical requirements for construction projects. It assists in all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financials set-up and updates, and schedule to ensure projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe, sustainable, and timely manner. Maintain constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer needs and expectations by supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of assigned projects. Essential Functions Project Financial Analysis Preconstruction Coordination Project Scheduling Project Administration, Operations, and Close-out Promote Customer and Community Relations Foster Positive Culture, Leadership and Employee Development Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree required. At least 5 years of previous construction office or field commercial experience in a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager role. 1-year or more of direct supervisory experience. Experience with project manager software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.). Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports. Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction application(s). Preferred Experience Local candidate preferred, but not required. DSA/Public works experience is a plus. Commissioning Coordinator experience. Experience in Change Orders Drafting/Negotiating. Knows how to drive material procurement as it relates to schedule. Can read a lookahead and CPM schedule. Capable of facilitating meetings. Experience in reviewing sub-billings. Compensation The base compensation range for the role of Assistant Project Manager in Southern CA is $105,000 to $125,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
