TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wichita, Kansas, 67214!

Job Title: RN - Med/Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care hospital Med/Surg License: Active RN license in the state of practice Certifications: BLS required; chemo certification and ACLS preferred Description: This position is for a travel RN in the Med/Surg specialty. The unit provides standard medical-surgical care and has a focus on oncology care. The unit has a total of 24 beds, with an average staff of 19 members. On the night shift, there is one charge nurse and five staff nurses when full. The patient ratio on the unit is approximately 1:5, but this is not guaranteed. The team atmosphere is supportive and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork. Chemotherapy administration is performed only by certified nurses. Staff will encounter a variety of cases due to the remote tele patient service. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team are essential. The unit encourages input from nurses on patient care delivery. A communication system using mobile devices facilitates interaction among care team members.
