Copyright Paralegal

Key Responsibilities: Conduct day‑to‑day operations for the DMCA and copyright takedown process. Develop, maintain and use processes for efficiently preparing, sending, tracking and reporting copyright takedowns. Coordinate directly with the IBCAP antipiracy lab to track non‑compliant ISPs and hosting companies. Under attorney supervision, follow up with and respond to correspondence from recipients of takedown notices. Coordinate with content rights holders and anti‑piracy monitoring vendors to ensure accuracy and measure effectiveness of takedown efforts. Provide administrative support to attorneys in preparing materials for litigation against pirate services, distributors and sellers of pirate services. Keep the antipiracy team, vendors and attorneys updated on the ongoing status of DMCA and copyright takedown efforts. Assist in sharing information with IBCAP coalition members to support collective anti‑piracy goals. Education and Experience: 4‑year college degree. 2+ years of experience as a paralegal (preferred). Experience with DMCA and copyright enforcement (preferred). Skills and Qualifications: Knowledge of or interest in technology, including the internet and related protocols and network conventions. Interest in working with a coalition of international media companies focused on reducing copyright infringement. Strong project management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively as a team member. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Salary Range: Compensation: $32.69 to $44.23 per hour.
