TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Peds Med/Surg RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 Years License: Current State License Required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience - Experience in administering chemotherapy - Ability to start IVs and conduct lab draws Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in cancellation. The unit will accept first-time travelers if they have 2 years of experience. Local candidates are accepted. Patient ratios are targeted at 1:5-6. Shifts are 36 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour days from 06:45 to 19:15. The unit will accept 13-week contracts. There are no call requirements. Floating to PICU and NICU is required. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Patient diagnoses include ages 0-17, encompassing medical-surgical patients and hematology/oncology cases. The primary systems used for documentation include PYXIS and EPIC. The staffing and scheduling is self-scheduled. The typical daily census is 24 patients. The unit has 38 beds and supports interdisciplinary services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as described in the job description.
